A ranar Laraba ne kwamitin sulhu na MDD ya yi karin shekara guda kan wa'adin tawagar MDD (UNMIL) da ke aikin tabbatar da zaman lafiya a kasar Liberia.
Kwamitin sulhun ya yanke wannan shawara ta karin tsawon wa'adin ne zuwa ranar 30 ga watan Satumban shekarar 2014, bayan da kwamitin mai mambobi 15 ya amince da kudurin yin hakan.
Shi dai wannan kuduri ya sake jaddada cewa, aikin tawagar ta UNMIL, shi ne ci gaba da ba da goyon baya ga gwamnatin kasar Liberia wajen samar da zaman lafiya da kwanciyar hankali a kasar tare da kare fararen hula.
Kwamitin ya kuma jaddada cewa, hakkin gwamnatin kasar Liberia ce, ta samar da tsaro da kariya ga al'ummarta, sai dai ta yaba da irin hadin gwiwar gwamnatin da tawagar ta UNMIL a kashin farko na matakin sojan da tawagar ta dauka, kamar yadda ya ke kunshe cikin kudurin da aka cimma a shekarar da ta gabata. An tsara daukar matakan sojan ne kashi uku, tsakanin watan Agustan shekarar 2012 da watan Yulin shekarar 2015, inda a karshe za a rage yawan sojojin dake cikin tawagar zuwa 3,750.
An kafa wannan tawaga ce a shekarar 2003 da nufin cimma yarjejeniyar tsagaita bude wuta bayan yakin basasar kasar da ya halaka kusan 'yan Liberia 150,000, galibinsu fararen hula, kana ya tilastawa wasu 850,000 tsallakawa zuwa kasashe makwabta. (Ibrahim)
